Thank you so much

Please allow me this opportunity after the longest 8 months of my life to tell each and everyone of you, thank you so much for your support and advise. After being told that I could call the following day to get the results of my first PET scan post chemoradiation, I was instead told, "Report Unavailable" Today I found out why. My chemo doctor took it down because he wanted to tell me "Welcome to Remission" before the ENT people were able to. (really!)
He said the CT scan that showed the possible new node on my lung was no longer there, and in his best English said, "Was probably your breakfast" He said that I still have a long way to go because I still have some unexplained symptoms such as swelling in the affected areas, but the PET Scan showed no uptake in any of the nodes.
I can't tell you all how much I appreciate your efforts and best wishes over the past few months but I can tell you that knowing what to expect both good and bad has been more valuable than what the doctors didn't tell me for fear of "planting a seed." My sincerest thanks to all of you. I now look forward to learning to cope with looking over my shoulder every couple of months for the next year, but I do so knowing that I was never expected to have this opportunity so it should be easy!

Forever Grateful

Nick

    Outstanding
Now that is some news for some serious Thanksgiving! I am sure hoping that whatever else is going on with the unexplained symptoms is something non cancer related and easily fixed. Congratulations.
