Whey Protein

Whey
We still use Bluebonnet - the unsweetened natural vanilla flavor one (the others have stevia as a sweetener and we can't stand that). It's an easy way to get more protein in, and adding maltodextrin provides more calories and body. Doug takes it on his trips, as you can always pick up milk (he brings a few of the UHT boxes of milk so he doesn't have to shop the second he lands).
Not everyone is keen on milk proteins, but Doug drank lots of milk all his life, so we didn't consider it an issue.0 -

Still drinking milk here, my nieces x-fit trainer recommended the whey protein to me, plus fish oil and vitamin D. I will do whatever it takes.Still eating food, even though some of the food has no taste. My mantra is swallow, swallow.0 -
Whey protein
I hate to be indelicate here, but I have found that the whey protein kills me with gas. Like terrible pain in my upper body first, right under my chest. I was dying for like two hours. I tried gas x and other stuff but it didn't seem to help. I'm now afraid to add the protein powder. I just opened the can and it cost like $19 for a little can. I wonder if taking a Beano first would help. I have been afraid to try.
This happen to anyone else? Or am I the only lucky one?0 -

Tried every kind of protein additive and Andy only liked the whey protein. My basic recipe: 1 c.Whole milk, 1scoop "show me the whey" powder, I/4 c.half n half, 1pkg. Scandishake, 1/4c. Greek yoghurt, varying fruits (bananas, peaches, mangoes, blueberries, mangoes, etc. Blend thoroughly. Yummy!!!0 -
whey
Whey protein was mixed in each and every smoothie I consumed. I would start out each day with a large fruit/whey protein smoothie during my morning walks. After treatment was completed, I would have a protein shake before going to the gym for a workout. It seemed to me to give a boost of energy for those workouts. Cheers.

Costco
I started drinking chocolate protein milk shakes from Costco, they came pre-made in drink boxes, 30g protein each.
It was in the bodybuilding section.
However, I am losing weight so I am mainly sticking to my supplement drinks that pack the most punch. My dietician said my daily requirement is 1800cal, each TwoCalHN or Resource2.0 is about 470cal each. I drink at least 4/day, whatever else I can drink or swallow in terms of food after that is extra.
I have to admit, having very little taste is a struggle to eat or drink anything.0 -

Each day I lose a bit more taste, but my mantra is to eat and swallow. It's funny what I can still taste, what I can't as well those things that the taste has changed, I put raisins in my oatmeal this morning and instead of being sweet thye tasted sour to me.0 -

I was never able to figure out any rhyme or reason with the complexities of how things taste because of treatment.0
