From both sides of my family. For any type of cancer.
Kind regards, Susan
In my family, I'm the first. There are a few other cancers, but, not bc.0 -

I was the first one at age 34. My mom at 60 was diagnosed 2 months after I was. Then my mom told me that she did have a cousin who passed away in her 40's of breast cancer. I did also test positive for the BRCA1 gene mutation.
The first and praying the last!0 -

Grandma had it and was cancer free for 20 years. She got cancer aqain at age 80 but it was not related to her bc. Her long survival rate from bc gave me a lot of hope as she survied with only a masectomy. They didn't do chemo or radiation in those days.
Laughs a lot, your Grandmother give us all hope and encouragement!

Mitzi, your history soundsMitzi333 said:Family History...
Unfortunatley My mother, her mom and my sister had breast cancer. Other cancers... my dad pancreatic, my brother lukemia, and niece also pancreatic cancer.
All above have passes away, except my sister, whose been in remission for several years. I also have a daughter I pray never has to experience this. I also have an older sister that has not experienced it either.
I tested negative for the Braca 1 gene mutation.
Mitzi, your history sounds like mine. I have 2 sisters, my paternal grandmother, and 3 great aunts that have had breast cancer. My dad and his brothers (he didn't have any sisters) all had colon cancer. I also had a paternal aunt with colon cancer. Most all of the cancer comes from my dad's side. My younger sister and I tested negative for BRCA also.0 -
Oh lucky me... I guess I am
Oh lucky me... I guess I am the first to say that i am the 4th in my family to get breast cancer... (do i win the "booby prize? Lol....) My mom and both of my sisters had. It... I did the braca genetic test and it was negative ..... Interesting to note is that all four of us had cancer in the left breast .... My 32 year old daughter just had a breast biopsy. Where else but in her left breast...it was calcifications but they are watching her closely ....

they can toss that theory out the window~
The first and wish I wasn't, but, if anyone had to, I am glad it was me.

first one
At age 57, I was the first in my family to have breast cancer. However, I have now outlived one grandmother who died of colon cancer. In 3 years I will have outlived my mother who died of bone marrow cancer (Walden-Strom syndrome) and her sister who died of lung cancer. Maybe they had breast cancer but it was never caught, before something else killed them!
Hangin' in there!!

I did find out that apparently my Dad's sister had bc. I guess she was keeping it quiet and I didn't know, so, I wasn't the first.0 -

I am the first in 4 generations. I have no risk factors at all. Diagnosed at 44. It's a head scratcher.0 -

First.
My mom was diagnosed about same age as me (48). I had the BRACA testing done before I was diagnosed and was neg. For all we know, there is more we don't know.0 -
Great Twin Aunts
Both had breast cancer at the same time in their 80s. Lived for many years after-they didn't die from it. No Drs ever thought it was a risk for me because of their age when diagnosed. Their brother, my grandfather died from colon cancer in his 50s? My little brother died of a brain tumor at age 19-4 days after diagnosis.0
