Yay!!!!
I remember that feeling of mixed emotions! You've gone so far it is absolutely fabulous! I'm 6 yrs out of treatment & you should've seen my face when cancer docs told me no need to come back! My first thought was what do I do now. You live honey! The constant doc visits, tests, and worry are almost over for you. Great job!0 -

I'm so very happy for you! I am looking forward to the day when I only need yearly follow-ups. However, my colorectal doc is still insisting on quarterly DRE's and anoscopes. Oh well! I hope you will celebrate your great news!0 -

Every three months???
I have that scheduled for Tuesday and am really dreading it. I can't imagine having to do this every three months. But maybe you are predicting my future. Eeegadddd. But so glad to hear you can go a year now. I guess after all we've been through, that procedure is small potatoes relatively but I am dreading it anyway. The first one was pretty uncomfortable.
All the best,

I am still on a 3-month follow-up schedule with my colorectal doctor and I'm over 3 years out of treatment. However, she just does a quick DRE and anoscope on me each time. There is no prep necessary for this exam and it's quick and only slightly uncomfortable. I used to dread the exam itself, but no longer do. I will only dread it if she finds something that shouldn't be there!
Good luck to you on Tuesday--I hope it goes well and you get the all clear!0 -
