What are the chances?

I was dx. with stage 3a, grade 3, clear cell in July 2010. I will get my last Avastin treatment in about a week. I'm in a trial GOG-252, I had IV/IP Taxol and Cisplatin along with the Avastin. I had a mammogram in October 2010 that was fine. I had a mammogram last month that was fine. Last week I felt/saw a hard lump in my breast. My gyn/onc also felt it and sent me for a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound. It didn't show up on the mammogram, but did on the ultrasound. It's about 2cm (quarter size). I've always been told I have extremely dense breasts. I had the ultrasound guided needle core biospy done this morning and will get the results Wednesday afternoon. I also had the BRAC analysis done right after I was dx. and it was negative. I know I am probably worrying about nothing, I know it's rare for ovarian to spread to the breast. But the timing couldn't be worse.

I hear you, and I would
I hear you, and I would react exactly the same way. Everything screams CANCER....every headache, every lump, every mole, etc.

My grandmother used to say, "A burned baby dreads the fire."

    had the same thing happen
routine mammo showed some areas and went back for repeat mammo and ultrsound..then my gyn/onc sent me to a breast surgeon who took another ultra sound and determined I didn't need a biopsy. I have to go back next month for a follow-up. I was so upset and had myself dead and buried. My advice..don't worry til you have to. Prayers on the way...val

    I will pray that everything
I will pray that everything turns out fine. I would react the same as you and would worry, how can you not? I worry over every headache, sniffle, cut, pain, etc. Try to stay positive and hope for the best.

    Mammogram vs ultrasound
OK, this is all I could figure out from "Dr. Google":

Mammograms are good at picking up solid tumors both benign & malignant.

Ultrasounds are better at detecting fluid-filled cysts that don't show up on mammograms. With any luck, you just have a breast cyst. I'm guessing that if you weren't a cancer survivor, you wouldn't have even had the biopsy but the doctor is being extremely thorough knowing you are already freaking out about this.

I expect you will be sharing good news with us soon.
