Trying to fly under the radar of scans...
Prayers please. I know this is going to warrant a scan...boo hoo.
My prayers go out to all, especially Laurissa. I pray she's alright.
Hugs to all and thanks again for prayers.

Sylvia I was wondering that I have not seen you around
Sending positive thoughts and prayers. I hope it is just infection or something minor. I hope we will schedule a MRI ASP as well as ultrasound and diagnostic mammogram to rule out scary thoughts. Combination of mammogram and ultrasound will give an answer on the same day. Please request it as soon as possible.

That you're dealing with this...I have to disagree though that a mammo and ultrasound will give a definite answer....a biopsy may be necessary along with scans,,,,just get it checked as quickly as possible.....mine came up seemingly over night...we'll talk about that later...
Sending your prayers and my very best wishes..

Love you guys.
It started about 3 weeks ago. I had my grandson on a Saturday and by the following Tuesday I felt soreness and a bit of swelling over the breast. I thought it was because I picked up my grandson and he's heavy. But by Friday I had some swelling under my armpit. The on call Onc doctor put me on antibiotics in case it was an infection. Went to see my oncologist last week and she sent me to the Lymphedema PT to get an opinion. Well, I'm not showing the classic symptoms so the Oncologist is sending me back to the surgeon who originally did the biopsy. Much to my dismay, I noticed a lump pretty close to where my original lump was 6 years ago. I just noticed it tonight. I hope I'm wrong.
I don't want to jump to conclusions but it's so hard not to. I'm just praying for strength. I know so many of you sweet sisters have had to battle it again and I just grieve at that. I wish NO ONE would have to.
Hopefully, I can get in tomorrow. I'll keep you posted.
Hugs,

I have had two events under armpit: first - 3&1/2 years ago and another one, last year. Both times conclusion was pretty clear from a combination of ultrasound and diagnostic mammogram done on the same day at the same office. Last year everything was ruled out within 40 minutes, and we were happy to learn about"little" fat.
Sylvia,
I hope and pray you will not need a biopsy. Sorry that you even have to think about tests.

Well I am pleased to hear the lymphedema has been ruled out I am bummed to hear you has a lump that has developed. Glad you are staying on top of it and hope they get you in pronto, if they don't I suggest stomping your feet and annoying them until they do! It could just be an infection the lymph nodes are reacting to by swelling but we can never assume. Know that you are in my prayers, let us know when you find out whats going on.

Sylvia, sending lots of prayers and hoping it's just scar tissue. I had a lump where my incision is for node removal and it turned out to be just that.
