Wow my Wife and I was setting this morning and remembered that is was 9 years ago this week that we got the new of my cancer. I went to see my ENT about problems with my ear being full of liquid, also had a lot of problems in the nose from being broken twice as a kid.

While he was in there repairing everything he seen something that he did not like and so he took a biopsy. When he called a few days later and gave us the news we were so devastated we cancelled all our travel plans for Thanksgiving as there were nothing to celebrate.

We have came a log way now and realize that there is so much to celebrate especially at this time of year. Thanks to all of you for your help & support through the many years and believe it or not but we have all became Caregivers to each other.

    I marked it on my calendar November 13, 2036 Meeting with Ratface on CSN, don’t be late. There is nothing better then a good laugh and why not plan for the future.

    Hi Nancy

    You are right it has been a fight so not need to stop now too much still to do in life. I have a house to build in Honduras, Grand kids to help rise, Weddings to go too, and a lot of Fishing to do. Wow I hope 25 years will be enough, I may need more time.

    Hondo, you are an inspiration to us. We are hoping for more years despite all the suspicious PET/CT results over the past 9 months. We keep holding on to the hope that, like you, Buzz's lit up areas are nothing to be concerned about. Next scan on the 22nd. We get results on the 29th so at least will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving. Yes we are also thankful for the time Buzz has been given. Wishing you many more good years. Karen

    Thank you for sharing such a wonderful post. You are indeed a group of caregivers to each other, and I hope in 25 years you can all get together and share your war stories. Hondo, you've been through a war for nine years, and yet you have GOOD things to share. Can't get much better than that.

    You got it, I have you marked for 2036, it will be one big happy dancer for a lot of old people, I will only be 81 so I plan on being there. :+})

    The Wife and I will sure enjoy this Thanksgiving with a lot to be thankful for this year. But my heart will not be so happy knowing that there are still so many others in our world and also here on CSN going through this fight during the holidays.

    I will be 79 with almost 41 years survivorship.......

    I am thrilled I have something to look forward too

    Your story just points to the goodness of God. I am so happy for you and your wife. You guys desrve nothing but the best. You've been so helpful and compassionate to all of us on here.
