Sorry I have been away a bit i have been dealing with other medical issues

they finally think they actually figured out what is causing my dizziness and vertigo.

I have a 2.2 by 2.0 by 1.4 cm cyst on my cerebellum i wont learn more about it till the 21 of this month

but my thyroid cancer is still in remission 1 1/2 years now...

hopefully i will be back and posting more soon

    I am glad that the doctors figured out the cause of your dizziness. Nothing is worse than the "not knowing". I will keep you in my prayers!

    This cyst, what is it? Is is cancerous? Could it possibly be a recurrence of Thyroid cancer? Glad you have some answers but I am worried for you.

    not cancerous
    a cyst is a collection of fluid its a type of tumor

    it is non cancerous and slow growing but when they do things like anesthesia for surgery there is a likelihood they rupture and cause issues from the CT scan it looks like during one of my surgeries it probably ruptured and that is what is causing a portion of my dizziness and such... I have been spending the recent weeks studding up on this and hence not been spending much time on other boards... but now I'm in the waiting period before i can talk to the specialists to determine what the plan is and the options... from the doctors i have talked to it is probably very slow growing and probably started 18 years ago when i was hit on the back of the head with a baseball bat (attempted mugging).

    the location on the back outside of the cerebellum is probably causing all of the dizzy and drunken walk issues it is probably not causing the vertigo but it is a multiplying factor so when they get rid of the dizziness the vertigo will probably lessen to the amount that it is not a factor.

    it will defiantly be a factor and almost guaranteed to involve brain surgery or one sort or another.

    just 1 day at a time till then

    That Sucks!
    I am really sorry you have to go through this. It so hard to wrap around the idea that someone would hit another person with a baseball bat to take their money. What the hell kind of world do we live in? I just hate it. I hope they caught that son of a ______! He should have to pay for your surgery and compensate you for your misery. I feel so badly for you. Keeping you in my prayers.
