Honoring our Veterans

11-11-11..Veterans Day

Thank you to all of the Veterans for their sacrifices and service. Also a big thank you to my father Robert, Steve's father Art, Steve my hubby, who all served in the NAVY, and our youngest son Josh who served in the Marines. We fly our flag with pride and gratitude.
Great day except I tweeked my back putting our flag out this morning and now I'm down in my recliner with the heating pad..UGH! I really need to exercise more and strengthen the muscles in my back. Anyways...HAPPY VETERANS DAY. Much love...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    Hot bath..
    Hi Jim,
I soaked in a hot bath and afterwards applied a heat patch which really helped. This is the 4th time since I finished chemo (Dec 14th 2010) that my back has done this. I NEVER had any back problems pre cancer/chemo. Now it seems if I lift anything the slighest bit heavy or just turn wrong it will tweek and put me down for a few days. Like I said...I need to start doing back strengthening exercises. Take care...Sue (FNHL-2-3A-6/10)

    aches and pains
It seems after I have the R for the next week or so I have stiffness in my ankles and heels. I go to stand up after sitting for a while and I have to limp for a few feet. Then it goes away. John

Yes they need to be honored by people. My father and youngest son and his wife were U.S. Marines. John

    Happy Veterans Day
    Hi dear Sue,

It seems that my post-cancer body is slow to get back to normal... stiff neck and back if I don't do just simple exercises that I learned from physical therapy daily. I will have to do more for my body - not easy to do at my office when I am working! I now changed my schedule - I work 4 to 5 hours a day instead of 7 to 8 and spread out my normal 20 hr a wk schedule. Helps a lot. I use Salponas herb patch and yes - hot baths. Anyway, you have a great family who contributed so much.
    Love,
    Liz
