Just a fun little treat I wanted to share, hope you try it and enjoy it.
CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR ONE
1 Coffee Mug
4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Small splash of vanilla
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well . Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed.
You can also add nuts and/or 2 tblsp of chocolate syrup to make it richer if desired.
Allow to cool a little, and enjoy....!

Step left out?
Hi Re,
The recipe sounds really good but doesn't it require some kind of cooking? I am thinking that microwaving might be required. After all, it does contain raw egg. Let us know.

RE had lovingly posted this a few years back~ I found it and copy/pasted for us! ENJOY!!!
You know sometimes you just want a nice warm fudgy piece of chocolate cake but you don't feel like the hassle of getting out the mixer and having all the mess. Well here is a simple little recipe that will meet that need. I hope you try it and enjoy it, I had mine earlier today.

I like this but...
I've tried this and the only suggestion I have is:
make sure the egg is thoroughly mixed with the dry ingredients. Once I didn't and when microwaved the egg popped and I had to clean the microwave out. Chocolate all over.
From the non-cook, not even microwave,

OK, you know as an NP I am
OK, you know as an NP I am going to have to say something about that raw egg! Eggs today rarely come from a small farm and these "industrialized" eggs are much more likely to have deadly salmonella. Raw eggs are probably not a great idea for those already immunocompromised.

RE forgot the part about cooking in the microwave. That fact is corrected further down in the posts.
Yeah, the days of licking the raw dough off of the beaters is over. I miss that.0 -

I've seen this before but have never tried it. It's now on my list to do this weekend.
Thanks,

I'm glad you added the cooking part, because I was wondering about that.
I look forward to trying it. Chocolate is always good!0 -
Will have to try
Will have to try this one out. With a diabetic spouse I try not to bake too often. This will allow minimal waste. Also I will have to try it with Splenda for him and see if it works.0 -
:-)
I corrected my original post as there was much confusion since dipsey me forgot the most important part...HOW TO COOK IT!!! lol!!! Okay you should now see the entire recipe, again thank you Chen for letting me know. Hope you all try this as it is quite good.
Hugs,
RE0
