Need Some Advise
I have never written before, but I need your words of wisdom. I know that so many of you have had a much harder time than me, so I have never written before, but have read your posts and said a lot of prayers for over a year. All of a sudden this little knot I have on my face has me scared. It has been there for a few months, never mentioned it to the doctor because I have always told myself it was nothing. I have been thinking about having my port removed so maybe that is why all of a sudden I am a little worried about it. It is on the side of my nose not on my nose, but next to it, at the bottom and hard. It does not hurt unless I push on it. I can not feel it from inside my mouth. It is about the size of a pea. I have not told anyone about it, but new that you would understand.
Hugs and prayers
Nana

Please talk to your doctor
Please talk to your doctor about it. It probably is easily explained, but it never hurts to check it out.
As to others having it harder than you, there is no easy cancer. Every one is different, yes, but no cancer is easier than another.
Let us know how it goes,

Nana, please do call your doctor. Unfortunately, after being diagnosed with bc, we are always fearful of any new changes on our body and we have to be diligent in telling our doctors about anything new. I wish it wasn't that way, but, we all feel the same way you do.
And, there is no competition in our bc results or our treatments. We all have to fight our battles in this war, none of them are easy.
So, just know that I am praying for you and please let us know what you find out.

Bump on your Face
It sounds to me like you have a sebaceous cyst. Of course, as the other Pinks have recommended, you should talk to your doctor - one never knows. When you have survived breast cancer any little thing is of concern to us that would not be of concern to someone without a cancer diagnosis. Even if this is something unpleasant, anything is more easily treated when caught early. You do yourself no good by waiting and sticking your head in the sand.

Always Remember This
Nana,
It is much better to have something checked than not have it checked. You then know how to proceed. If it is nothing, you have a free mind. If it is something, the doctor will take care of it. The important thing is to have it checked out. And.....NEVER be embarrassed if turns out to be nothing. Do not apologize for having it checked out
I had what turned out to be a tiny, tiny tiny skin cyst removed from my non-cancerous reconstructed breast. I told my oncology surgeon that it reminded me of the recurrence and that I wanted it removed, but I wanted the plastic surgeon to remove it, which he could do in the office as opposed to the surgeon doing it in an operating room. It ended up being a skin cyst. When I saw the surgeon during my annual checkup, I told him that his eyes would have rolled up if he seen the skin cyst. He laughed.
Peace of mind is also a very important thing and you cannot put a price on it.
Take care of your nose right away so you can have peace of mind.
Lots of Hugs,

Your story sounds very similar to what my brother is currently going through. He had extensive dental work (dental implant) done a few months back and this lump seemed to flare up. His was located almost in the same place as yours and his mustache covered it up. His dentist treated it as an infection and kept giving him antibiotics. After his tooth implant was put into place her referred Bill to a specialist (a Plastic surgeon). Two weeks ago he had an MRI done and found it to be a "soft tumor". He has surgery scheduled in two weeks and they will then biopsy it. Needless to say he is scared too because of the cancer risks in our family. His doctor felt better when he saw it was a "soft tumor" I suppose for cosmetic reasons.
So yes my dear, any lump or bump needs to be checked out...
Let us know how you do,

I appreciate all of you taking a few minutes to make me relize that I do indeed need to tell my doctore about it.
Lorrie,
I can't beleive this, but when you told me about your brother it reminded me that I too had dental work right after I finished my Avastin treatments. The place on my face is hard and doesn't move around so it probably is the same thing. It feels like it is on the bone. I have an appointment with my doctor on the 16th
Thank you all
