Have you tried mucinex?
My husband is almost 3 months out of treatment and he still has mucus but it has decreased somewhat. He has been using over the counter mucinex which seems to help. The past week he felt like he also had additional drainage from his sinuses, either from a cold or allergies, so he took the mucinex multi symptom that has the decongestant. Nothing is making it go away totally, just making it a little easier to bear. At least when he takes this and drinks a lot of water he can clear it and it doesn't gag him or burn.
Hope you get some relief soon!0 -

Mucenix works, but it will dry you out more.0 -
plain mucinex
Plain Mucinex, not multi-symptom, works for my husband. Nothing gets it gone totally but thins it so it is not as thick and seems to lessen its severity. The multi-symtom will dry your mouth more because of the decongestant so steer clear of it.
Hope this helps.

So far, he has had no problems with dry mouth so we're hoping it doesn't develop. We have enough side effects to deal with right now but yes, I agree, that would cause more dryness.0 -

Just thought I'd mention that because I know he has posted a few times about severe dry mouth.0
