Good
Good to hear that he is still ok. Bummer to hear that he is so sick with this treatment program. I'm hoping he can surely get some relief as no one should be that sick constantly. Hope his doctor can figure something out. Thanks for the update.

Sounds All Too Familar to Me....
I remember telling him that his regime (which was mine) had me SICK 24 out of 30 days out of the month. Each cycle about the 12th day to the 14th, I would feel slightly better than death, but the other days were just wasted, sick days.
It was no kind of quality of life at all. And when I got to the end, I said "No Mas."
I was hoping he would do better than I did, but it sounds like he and I are working off the same page, which means I'm sorry that he is feeling so bad right now. It's extra rough for some of us.
I told Buzzard recently when I was finishing up treatments, that my hands had slipped off of that rope. It's easy to do when you feel as badly as that.
Sounds like some reduced dosages are coming to an IV pole near him and I hope that the docs can ease the suffering for him to some degree. My guy went to 75%, but it still cooked my goose.
Hang on, Buzz!

Being new, I was wondering what treatment regmine he is on. The inital post indicated Folfiri and I was under the assumption that isn't too, too awful. I've done Folflox before and start Folfiri this week. Now, I'm worried this treatment could actually be worse than Folflox.0 -
Jennie...you da bom.......
Thanks so much for sharing. I started crying when I read your headline! Been so very worried about him. I do hate that he is so very sick and totally understand him not posting. Will pray real hard that he gets through this phase soon. Love to the Buzz!!!!

Hi....... Yes, he is on Folfiri and the sickness part of it does hit some people like Buzz and Craig but not others. I was on Folfiri 2 years....got sick 1 time....not 1 day...1 time. However.... I did have the side effect of diarrhea.....bad diarrhea. It was well worth the 20+ tumors in cleared out of my lungs and liver. I have never done Folfox to compare but Sundanceh has. PM him and ask any questions you may have. Best of luck to you!

Thanks Jennie, here's to hoping I can ride the Folfiri wave like you did. I am having Folfiri as my mop-up chemotherapy after my September resection for rectal cancer. I have a temporary illiostomy so at least I won't have the actual affects of diarrhea but have been warned to watch out for dehydration. Thanks again.

Good news
Dear Jennie, thanks for your efforts to solve the 'missing Buzzard' puzzle.
Sorry to hear that he is feeling so bad and hope that he can get his docs to come up with some compromise on the dosage which will give him some relief and still kick cancer's butt.
Sending hugs to all,

Big sigh of relief here in Arizona. Thanks, Jen. I'm so glad he was able to call and give you an update. Keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for a better time for him soon.
He's such a great guy.
