I want to pass along some good and bad news.

Hey All
I just wanted to pass along some good news and some bad news. I guess I start with the good news last Thursday I went for my year PET scan and monday I found out the PET scan came back clean. Then today I had a breathing test then (which the breathing test came back clean so not breathing problems) I met with my lung doctor and I found out I have staph infection in my lungs that was the cause for the different color mucus when I hacked up and I also got scar issue in my lungs probably from radiation treatment (when I was hacking up blood with the mucus). So the doctor put me on this med "Doxycycline Hyclate 100mg Capsules" which I have to take twice a day for 30 days to see if it clears up this staph infection in my lungs and if it dont then the doctor is going to order a Hi-Res Image of the lungs to see whats going on. Little history about this whole thing last month on the 28th I had Bronchoscopy done and I dont remember anything about that scope.

I also have to get a balance test done next month due to being light headed all the time.

If anybody wanted to know I had NPC cancer last march so I went through the chemo and radiation.

So I hope this meds clears this up and I hope that it would stop my tiredness all the time.

This probably is going to extend my disability.

    I assume they checked blood pressure and thyroid. That's what part of my problem was.

    Hang in there. By the way, that little camera, if I remember right, was developed by a doctor in Israel, get the video and post on youtube under "Skiffen". I'm sure there are millions awaiting the chance to see poop in the making especially the NASA style splash down. Sorry envisioning that just struck me as funny.

    the doctors checked the blood pressure and every came back ok with them about it and I dont think they ever tested my thyroid. But I wont see my chemo and radiation doctor for a other year and I dont have a family doctor because all the local doctors are not taking new patients right now.

    Congratulations on the clean PET scan that is some very good news. On the staff infection you can get it anywhere these days but mostly hospitals. I got it a few years back and man it was hell to get rig of. The bad news about it is that it can lay dormant in your body for years then come back for a re-match.

    All in all it does sound like you are doing really well just get that staff under control.
