Update on Hutch....not a tumor!

Thanks everyone for you concern, thoughts, and prayers for Hutch...someone was listening! I took Hutch for his tumor surgery removal today at 7:30. Around 8:45 I got a call from the vet's office. Atfer further review of the affected area by the original vet she deemed that the swollen look was from the lidocaine she had given him earlier in the day. The second vet who set Hutch up for the tumor removal and mentioned cancer was not aware of the reaction he was having. They called to say they don't think there is a concern on cancer since the swelling has gone down and his lip looks more normal now. He will have a check up in a week to make sure the area has healed, but they think he is a perfectly healthy dog. I was SO HAPPY to get that call! Hutch and Laney mean the world to my family, they have been such a source of happiness to both of us.

Again thanks to all who offered kind words and prayed for our little goofy guy. He will be resting nicely at home this evening :)

    Glad to hear that Hutch was cleared and cancer isn't the issue. What a relief you must feel!

    God takes care of our needs and he knows you AND Jeff need a healthy Hutch.

    Whew! Another bullet dodged!! I'm very relieved that Hutch is okay. I'm guessing you'll be buying doggie treats in bulk for awhile! Thanks for the update.

    That is FANTASTIC news!!! I am so glad to hear that everything was clear. What a relief, you must be thrilled! I agree with Rita, bulk doggie treats are in order!!

    Hey Eric,

    Wanted to let you know that you post on my first post about Hutch cracked me up, thinking of Jeff and Hutch hanging out in the infusion room together was a funny visual. Thanks for helping me smile when I was feeling down. After reading your post I thought...well that would give a whole new meaning to PET scan for sure! We have to laugh at the situations sometimes to keep from crying.

    Hope you are doing well and that you are enjoying time with Michelle.
