A few days in the hospital

Got sick last Saturday, dizzy, out of breath, and some chest pain, Sunday was worse and went to emergency room. They took me right in and started running tests, EKG's etc, they took some blood and a doctor came and did a finger rectal exam, it showed blood in the stool, my stools have been very dark lately. They also told me that I was bleeding somewhere in my digestive tract and admitted. Monday they did an endoscopy which showed a small ulcer in the stomach and a couple of drops of blood, doc said that was not the culprit. Next was a colonoscopy on Tuesday, negative, today a barium x-ray of the small intestines negative. The small ulcer was stapled off, my blood count was so low I had to have a transfusion. Turns out I am really anemic now (not Fanconi's sweetblood)and they have not determined where the bleed is from. I am home now and feeling well, have to have a camera test next week (barring any emergency) they are going to have me swallow a camera it will take pictures continuosly as it passes through my system, will be in there for 6 to 8 hours, will take a movie of the whole thing. So that's where I have been, hospitals, home sweet home, no cancer throughout the system.

Man sorry to hear that you went through all of that my friend. One thing I hate more then anything is those finger rectal exams because my Urology has really big fingers (No joke intended) its true. Hope the camera will find the problem and will keep you in prayer until then

Bad News, Good News
Hi Denis,
Wow, sorry to hear you're having internal problems. I was thinking your next post would be to talk about how well your new dentures were working. I'm glad to hear it doesn't sound or look like a recurrance. Hope the camera finds the issue, and you are soon feeling better.

Holy cow. Sorry to read this. I am hoping they get you fixed up and feeling better soon. I wouldn't think it was Fanconi's. Lol you'd have known you had that, way before now.
Get well soon~
