Scan
I think you'll be fine. Don't raise "Hell"....it's not worth it. Personally, i never want to talk about scans or the like with anyone BUT the doc. There has just been too many misunderstandings with people pretending they are experts. Really, a wednesday scan, and consult on monday isn't too bad of a wait, compared to what many say their wait has been. I want to congratulate you on 6 yrs. Where have you been? We like to hear all the success stories we can. Enoy the weekend, and do not worry!!0 -

THanks for the support. I have trough 2 liver resections and 22 rounds of chemo. Once I get the scan results I will officaly be NED for over 4 years. I am heavily into exercise and nutrition. I have also been very involved in the Colon Cancer Alliance for the past 5 1/2 years but this is a great forum. I am sorry it took me this long to find it.0 -

Wow, we love to hear good news. You are an inspiration for all of us who are just starting our journey. I know the stress of waiting for those scans. Prayers for your continued good health.

Unfortunately it looks like I will be starting the jouney for the 3rd. time. I got a call from the doctor last night and they found another spot on the right lobe of my liver after 4 years. That pesky right lobe has been giving me heartaches for 6 years now. But I will beat it again.0 -

f-- control freaks
We always get the radiologist's report, CT films, and digital CD copy directly at our scan center, and carry them around to the surgeons, oncologists, 2nd radiologist, etc of our choice. We get the CT referral from a friendly doctor and pay the scan center directly. Insurance may require some kind of prior diagnostic schedule or arrangement.
I don't beg or bug doctors, I abandon them and find cooperative ones. I am too often game for second, 3rd or 10th opinions, so I don't fool around with "daddy, may I"0 -

So sorry to hear this but
So sorry to hear this but you go get'em. This is the reason why they do the scans, as nerve racking as they are they tell us where to aim our guns. I wish you all the best.

Thank you so much everyone for all of your support. I have been involved with the Colon Cancer Alliance for over 5 years but just finally signed up to this forum ironically just several hours before I got the bad news. I think God led me here. You are all such warm positive fighters like myself. I just hope I can be of support to you all like you have been to me.

back in the saddle
So sorry to hear you are "back in the saddle again". FYI, I've received those calls 4 times (not including my original diagnosis). You sound like a real trouper, with a great attitude. Please don't hesitate to hang out with us, through good times and bad. This board has been an unbelievable source of inspiration to me for something like 8-9 years. You are welcome. Sending positive vibes +++ as you embark on this next stage of your journey.....
