Not happy Drs got wires crossed

in Head and Neck Cancer #1
My husband went back to work yesterday following the word of his onc. This morning his ent Dr called me and asked why he was working so soon after finishing radiation. He wants to see him and do an assesment before Vaughn is back to work and says he should be off at least another month before returning to work. I tried to call his onc but it turns out him and his staff are all in Florida. I am mad because I feel like his Drs are not communicating well and he is already so tired from rads and he was at work 2 days lifting 80 lb seats at least 400 of them a day and Dr doesn't think he's ready...neither do I! Sorry Venting...He looked like a zombie yesterday when came home and I don't expect him to look any better today. Not really a discussion I am just pissed and needed to vent ty.

    Who is the lead on your team of MD's...that's the one that should be the shot caller. Of course, I'd presume they communicate and agree (somewhat) with each other...

    I'm so sorry this happened to you guys! I couldn't even imagine doing such strenuous work so shortly after treatments!! Tell your guy to just take it easy for a while! That's rediculous that any dr would give him the "ok" anyway. :( Poor guy.

    I can't believe he would send your husband back to work. I would probably want to do more than vent. Smacking them,like John said, sounds good to me.

    Any time I needed my Oncal man he was always on Vacation spending them money he made treating me. I agree it way too soon for him to go back in to a job where he has to lift 80 lbs of anything. If is was an office desk job then maybe but not hard labor type work. Some times it just makes you wonder about some of these doctors and what they are thinking.
