Mine went up a couple of months after treatment ended....slighly up 2 months after that. I'm still sitting at 2.1 so I'm not going to fret about it.
CEAs rise and fall but if they are not climbing dramatically, then I think it's like any test that we could run on ourselves on any given day of the week, or any given time of the day.
We're only gripping 'cause we've had cancer. I imagine a non-cancer person might have an interesting reading. I doubt that people who don't have cancer are registering a 0.0
Only did Avastin with Folfox, this last treatment with Folfiri, we did not do Avastin this time. Not sure why.
I don't think you will experience any side effects from the infusion. Your blood pressure may go up though. Watch how you are breathing - I mean, if it's difficult. And listen to your heart to see how it's beating.
Nobody but me has had the issue with Avastin, but I did it for about 8-9 months and walked away from it with a funny heartbeat many times a day. Like you're trying to catch your heart and put it back in a normal rhythm, you know?
Avastin has been reported to cause congestive heart failure with extended use. The manufacturer does not state what 'extended' tiime that would be.

On Avastin
I've been on Avastin alone for 4 months, (on 12th round this round)nothing to report, best of them all to have, side affects wise, except watch out for high blood pressure, I already had high blood pressure and was on pills for it and still taking them to be sure, also they'll be checking for protein in urine.
