John's idea
Hi Sweet, thanks for superthread. I think John's idea is the only answer, given that the admins of this site can't help lock the thread. It could simple be a url off of this site that contained only the discussion board, and could be set as read only, with you as the admin. I don't know much about blogs, but have set up forum software on a couple of sites. If that's done and I can be of any help, let me know.
You might also consider an entire opening page worth of space, a rolling billboard saying something like "Read This Info, but DON'T POST" Make it big fonts, different colors, and do it for about thirty lines, then start the thread. I know you've tried to empasize it, but more and bigger might do the trick.
thanks again, Hal0 -
You could let it go too
I forgot Sweet, you could let it go too, you'e done enough, and it's been a great and appreciated addition to the board, as everyone has said. If there is not a way to keep it neat, and make it easy for you to maintain, then, as you said, let it sink.
All the credit to you for creating and working on it. You shouldn't have to stress over it.

Thanks
Just a small thanks for all the thought and hard work that you've put into the superthread. I know it's a big help to all who look at it. The time and effort you put into it show how big your heart is -I appreciate it!0 -

Thank you for all the thoughts and ideas. It's a work in progress and we will keep thinking about it. In the meantime, I will keep it on the first page like I have been doing. As I was getting my hair done today, I wanted to post here, and my iPhone would not pull up the key board so I could type. Stupid phone is going to crap out soon, I think. Anyway, I then remembered hearing something about the new iPhone. That it creates a wifi hot spot. If that is the case, I think I may be eligible to up grade my phone this month or next, and then I wouldn't need to save so much to get an iPad. Course it would be awesome to have. But if I can do that with my phone, I would then be able to use my lap top. I'm going to do a few searches on line about this alleged iPhone with a hot spot and see what I can find out.0 -

Good idea John, I believe they also have a blog here on CSN but I never tried to use it before. It might be possible to place SuperThread there and just update it as needed.

The blog on here won't work as it still allows for replys/comments.
But there are a few that I'm looking at off of here that allow you to just post with no interaction.
