Autumn Leaves
Honkers (Canadian geese) are heading south in fairly large flocks - not as big as they will get soon but they are on their way.
So is Autumn raising it's head in your area?

I wish I can say yes but I live in FL and we don’t get the privilege to see the changes of the leaves or even snow... now that I think about it I never seen either.... I really need to travel up north in the fall/winter.
Eva
Especially in north FL, you get seasons. It does snow there too - certainly not like we get up here but it does happen. In 1955, we were let out of school in Tampa because it was snowing and there was enough snow that layed on cars hoods so that we were able to make little snowmen out of it. I remember several good 'dustings' we got in Punta Gorda. The first winter we lived in Jacksonville, we got about 3 inches in one storm. In the next 5 years there, we got at least 3 more snows that were enough to at least dust everything. Certainly it doesn't last any time but it does come down I'm a 6th generation native Floridian on Mom's side.

Was hoping for Fall but here
Was hoping for Fall but here in Calif. we are going to have some hot weather next week. Could hit 100º. I will be happy when it cools down. We do get some colors but not as many as when we were kids in Mich. That is so beautiful to see. You are very fortunate.

It was a long summer.
Unfortunately, the severe drought we had this summer has caused what I call summer-fall. When I stand in my yard and look across the valley, it has looked more like fall for over a month now because the trees are so thirsty. I hope to enjoy the new green growth in the spring but I'm afraid there will be less of it. I look forward to seeing and hearing the geese fly south. I can always hear them long before I can see them but it is one of my favorite autumn events. I expect my hummingbirds will soon be leaving me but they practically tap on my kitchen window in the spring to let me know they are back. Thanks for reminding me to enjoy the simple things that sometimes go unnoticed.

No autum leaves in Central Florida. Have seen snow here a few times! We used to go to Asheville, NC every year in October to see the leaves. Very beautiful!!

E-Park I'm in Orlando but had all my treatment at Moffitt in Tampa. We've had some cold winters but the only snow I've ever seen in Florida is at Disney during the Christmas Holidays. I can also remember a fairly cold couple of weeks when we lived in S.Florida, but no snow. I lived up nOrth and have seen many snow days and do not miss any of them. I'll take the hot over the cold. My daughter in laws are native Floridians. My older sons wife had never seen snow till she was in her early 20's when she took a trip to DC. The first snowfall is always so beautiful but then as the days progress it becomes less and less beautiful. I'm sure cold weather and snow lovers would disagree.0 -

No fall color for us yet
No fall color for us yet (Louisiana), but I am having a bumper crop of hummingbirds migrating through. More than I have ever seen. Wondering if they are crowding into Louisiana because of the terrible Texas drought??? They are slurping through the feeders as fast as I can clean and refill them.0 -

Colors
We have them in Michigan. I live close to the lake and you get it last on the lakeshore. I work further into the state and see more colors there right now.0 -

a few trees are starting to show a little color here in south-central PA. However, I just got back from the northern part of the state and leaves are definatelhy changing there. There was already some color on Labor Day but now it's really showing and leaves are falling. The weather has been a real factor for us this year so we're anxious to see what happens as the first frost appears.0
