Wait for testing to be done....
Hi,
It sounds like you have multiple issues going on. The scan is very important to get done, and if possible, surgical removal of swollen groin node to be sent for pathology. Once they slice and dice a node and put it through chemical staining, they can pin point if it's lymphoma with greater accuracy. I would tell you to be patient and calm until the testing is done, but realistically thats damn near impossible to do. So instead, I will keep good positive thoughts and say prayers for you. Please share back what you find out, and know we are here to help you through this scary process. Love and best wishes...Sue (age 60 Follicular NHL stage3-typeA-Grade2-diagnosed June 20100 -

I agree with Allmost60 here totally. The symptoms I am focusing on in your list are the swollen lymph node in your groin mostly combined with night sweats and a couple of the other symptoms round it out for me. I agree that that groin lymph node should be biopsied as that is the best indication for lymphoma or not as far as I am concerned. I am not a doctor though but have experienced enough personally and in talking to others that this advice is probably not misleading.
Like Allmost said though you have to try not to panic til you have had the testing done. Lymph nodes also swell all the time from infections but just the positioning of yours plus the other symptoms you show shouldn't be ignored. As far as the eye issue you are speaking about I have no experience with that but it should be investigated as well and maybe even biopsied too, an opthamologist/surgeon should be seen.
If you aren't getting the tests and results you need then my suggestion is to get a second opinion from another doctor. It's your right. It's your life. Why worry needlessly? You have enough symptoms, in my opinion, to be taken seriously. Hopefully all the tests will be okay.
I would suggest you get this done as soon as you can and hopefully you will get a positive result and all will be well. Lots of things show symptoms that you describe and aren't cancer I'm sure.
All the best.
Blessings,

I;m just upset about of ive been treated and ignored, going to look for a new family doc.0 -

Sounds, from what you told us, that you should be searching out a new family because these sound like manny symptoms you can see like the lump in your groin and the lump when you pull up your eyelid so I don't know how they can blow you off. Unless I am missing some information here but sounds bananas to me.
Hope you find a good family doctor who will believe in you and work with you. All the best.

Hi Jammison,
Good for you to go on your own! I did the same thing when my armpit swelled and I had a lump on my collar bone. I thought you would like to know that through my whole diagnosis and treatment my blood tests were always normal. Go figure? I think that's probably a good thing because I don't have it in my bone marrow. I was diagnosed by a lymph node that was removed from under my arm with Follicular Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. *IF* you were to be diagnosed with Lymphoma I just want to give you a heads up that they may tell you to "Watch and Wait". This is a VERY common thing and no need to panic as long as you are being monitored. When I was first told we were going to "Watch & Wait" I thought they were crazy! Best of Luck to you and I hope your diagnosis is something minor and easy to take care of.
