Survived 2 cancers , possibly have another one , im freaking out !!!!

UPDATE: July 10th 2012
so since last time ive posted on here i went to get a needle biopsy of my neck lymphnode , it came back clean with no signs of cancer , ive been getting blood work done pretty often , no signs of cancer there either , few months ago id say middle of may , my neck became really soar in the lump area to a point where i couldnt fall asleep on that side of my face , all of the pain lead up to a fever , next day the fever and the pain was gone but i decided to talk to my doctor about it , we both came to a conclusion that the lump better come out , so i was schedulled for neck excision , upon the removal of my lymphnode to doctors found tumor developing in my parotid gland , this is the same type of tumor that bestie boys rapper Adam Yauch just passed away from , at first when i started doing research i found that 80% of the parotid tumors are benign , so i called my oncologist and i had them read the pathology reports and unfotunetly i am not in the clear , i was told that the mass is malignant , tomorrow i am going for PAT scans to see if the cancer didnt spread , and from there on it looks like more surgery and possibly radiation i guess , i am scared and worried , i just got engaged june 1st as well , this is all overwhelming , i already had leukemia , melanoma , and now this , i am worried that 3rd time wont be as lucky as the first 2 , its just too much to take in , i am petrified , i am scared , and since this is a rare type of cancer ( 2 in 100,000 people are diagnosed with this ) i feel like there is no hope for me due to lack of information , research and treatment types , however i am trying to stay very positive and i will give this my best shot , i already did it twice , i am hoping that i have enough in me for one more round , im literally getting teary eyed right now , i dont know what else i can do , i also wanted to say thank you to all for your support and prayers and i want you guys to know that even though i am not a religous person much i am keeping my fingers crossed for all of us dealing with any type of cancer , cancer has taken away a lot from me and from all of us , i know what were all going through is hard , i would like to ask you guys for being strong for me and i will be strong for you , thank you all again for your support and prayers !!!
PS i will try to post updates in the "head & neck cancer" section

Please get it checked out!
Hi Sebastian and happy birthday! Welcome to this board.
It is possible to get multiple cancers - how likely, I don't know.
Try not to freak out as this could be nothing but you should get it checked out
by an oncologist. They will ask you pertinent questions, examine you and
most likely order a biopsy where they will remove part of the tissue
to have it examined for cancer.
In the event you do have lymphoma, know that it is very treatable these days
as many people on this board can witness. I am about to finish treatment
in a few weeks and my last PET scan showed "all clear" so I'm looking really
good now. In fact in this past week, several of the members here have gotten
such good results, we're doing the "happy dance" .
But let's don't put the horse before the cart here - please get it checked out.
As I said, it may be nothing of concern but let the professionals determine that.
Please post here as often as you like and let us know what's going on.
You'll find a wealth of support, understanding and love on this site.
Hang in there and hugs,

thanks for your support guys
thanks for your support guys , i am going in for a ct scan of my neck this Wednesday Oct. 5 , i was scheduled to do it on Friday but they wouldn't take me in since i had a weird rash all over my body especially the face and hands ( which i understand could be a symptom of lymphoma ) , if i knew how to upload pictures on here i would because im trying to document everything that's going on. Since the contrast die can cause a rash i had to wait till the rash i have clears up , well it did , so now i am going in on Wednesday to see if the lump i can feel is the only lump that i have , after that its biopsy , i am still nervous but at the same time i don't feel scared , its an odd feeling , perhaps its due to having cancer twice already , i feel like it will turn out ok , im prepared for the worst but expecting the best and keeping a positive mind. Ill keep you guys updated on my situation and thanks so much again for your support.

Sorry
Hi Sebastian;
Sorry I don't have a lot of words of wisdom or much experience about cancer since I was recently diagnosed myself...but I will be praying for you that you don't have another cancer...God doesn't give us more than what we can handle so he knows that whatever your test results show, he knows you are a strong person that will get through it...
take care buddy!
Sincerely,

Hi Sebastian,
Keep up the positive thoughts! You are doing the right thing and that's definitely a step in the right direction! Sometimes knowing that you are taking action helps keep the fear down. At least for me I get a sense that I still do have some control. Like the saying goes "You can't change the wind, you can however adjust your sails." Best of luck to you on Wed and let us know how you make out! We're rooting for you! Take Care!

Dear Sabastian
This is obviously a devastating blow. Im so sorry. But I believe the shock of it will wear off and you will definitely find the strength to fight this! You must fight for yourself and your fiancé. You are young and strong and there are so many treatments available these days. You can do this!
I will pray for a speedy and permanent cure!
