Low CA125

Five years ago I had a complete hysterectomy due to elevated CA125, BRCA1 Mutation and symptoms. I did not have ovarian cancer and my Oncologist feels that I could have been diagnosed with it if we hadn't done the hysterectomy. Years later after no symptoms in regards to this my abdominal has swollen (I look 3-4 months pregnant), constipated and have abdominal discomfort. My abdominal ultrasound came back good as did a colonoscopy, endoscopy and CA125. Is it still possible with these negitive tests to still have developed possibly even a stage 1 peritoneal? Nothing I do, eating less, moving bowels, anything seem to take away the swelling or discomfort. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Anything is possible
Anna,
I don't know whether your symptoms are related to peritoneal cancer, but it sounds as if something is up. I was diagnosed with stage IIIc ovarian cancer after multiple ultrasounds, physical exams, and a D & C that showed nothing. Depite my negative diagnostics, there was something brewing and the third ultrasound showed that something was terribly wrong. Regardless of the cause of your symptoms, it is worth pursuing it with your doctor until you either find a cause or your symptoms disappear.0
