Jaw cracking
Did anyone give you the jaw exercises to do? I was given a sheet with exercises to do everyday, so many times a day to keep from having my jaw lock up. I am sure Hondo can give you the low down on what can happen...
I don't know how far out you are from your radiation but I would check with your ENT if you have one or a speech therapist or your doc. I found even with doing the exercises, once in awhile my jaw would feel "funny".
If you are like me, anything out of the ordinary tends to freak me out.
Hope all is well and it is nothing to worry about.

Mine would pop and actually hurt when it did. I din't know about exercises until I went to a TMJ. The exercises helped a lot.

I had chemo and rads for larynx cancer, fortunately I had no jaw problems, but sometimes that shows up later, I finished my treatment in June of 2009 and yesterday had all of my teeth (those remaining) pulled, doctor had a hell of a time getting them out due to hardening of the jaw, this procedure was performed in a hospital OP with an oral surgeon. I am severely bruised around the jaw and very swollen, so who knows what the future brings, but it's all worth it for both yourself and family.0 -
My problems
I had tongue surgery in July 2010. I finished chemo and rads in Nov 2010. In March 2011 i had another surgery on my tongue. In May my left ear started hurting. After 3 visits with ear aches my doctor did a cat scan on my head and neck and found i had a non cancerous cyst and my jaw bone socket is degenerated. My bet is you have TMJD the i was refered to physical therapy and it helped some. The doctor will not operate anymore because of doing more harm than good. Good luck David0
