Hi Everyone I borrowed this from another post, I added somethings and changed a few other to show Since Cancer what changes have taking place in like of people with Cancer.

Please feel free to add to the list of Since Cancer what changed in your Life

Since cancer, I'm in the best health of my adult life.
Since cancer, I appreciate simple things and people more.
Since cancer, I don't procrastinate nearly as much as I used to.
Since cancer, I realize how many people care about me.
Since cancer, I have a greater appreciation for the value of a dollar.
Since cancer, I am better prepared to face my own mortality.
Since cancer, I've given up everything that tastes sooo good just because it's bad for me.
Since cancer, I notice things more and how people act and sometimes it annoys me.
Since cancer, I realize I may not have much time left so I have to rush to do everything.
Since cancer, people treat me differently; they probably feel sorry for me, oh I hate pity.
Since cancer, I am broke so I can't buy the things I used to.
Since cancer, I get depressed lot.
Since cancer, the God I love has become a closer friend
Since cancer, I have learned to love my Wife and Children more and appreciate the things they do for me.
Since cancer, I take everything out on the dog who is always wagging her tail and is so happy to see me.
Since cancer, most of my friends don’t ask me out to lunch anymore because I take too long to eat.

Thanks
Hondo

Since cancer I've found out how truly close my family and I are
Since cancer I've learned to slow down
Since cancer I know that it's a day at a time and one foot in front of the other

    Since Cancer
I have learned not to sweat the small stuff.
I have learned that perfectionism is over-rated.
I have learned that yesterday is over, tomorrow is not yet here, so today is all you have. Make the most of it.
I have learned the difference between compassion and pity and more people have compassion.
I have learned the meaning of true love with the example my husband sets every single day.
I have learned that we are stronger than we think we are.
I have learned being a survivor starts the minute you get the diagnosis.
I have learned that how we see ourselves is more important than how others see us.

Since cancer, I have spent more time talking with God.
Since cancer, I have grown closer to my family.
Since cancer, I have spent more time watching the birds.
Since cancer, I have spent more time watching the stars.
Since cancer, I have smiled more at people I don't even know.
Since cancer, I have napped more often.

    Since Cancer
Since cancer, I don't take anything for granted.

Since cancer, I try not to judge people quickly, and I realize everyone has a story and a history.

Since cancer, I try hard to help people that have been newly diagnosed. My hope is that they will have an easier time than I did.

Since cancer, I try hard not to sweat the small stuff.

Since cancer, I do not allow poisonous people in my life.

Since cancer, I have realized that working like a lunatic and money are not a priority.

Since cancer, I am kinda lonely.

Since cancer, I know who my tried and true friends are, and I know who I can count on.

Since cancer, I realize I am not the one in control. "It's Thy Will Be Done", not MY will.

Since cancer, I realize the real beauty is inner beauty.

    What Has Changed
Wow, Hondo. So many of these in your post and some others are spot on for many of the things that have changed for me as well. I can hardly think of any more to add that are not covered here by somebody. I tell my wife that I am so unsure of the future now that I won't even buy green bananas anymore. Well, maybe a few additions:

Since cancer, I can't look in the mirror anymore without thinking how ugly my face looks.
Since cancer, I am more compassionate about others.
Since cancer, I am even more in love with my wife (If that is even possible)
Since cancer, my daughter/son are closer to me than ever before.
Since cancer, all cancer patients are my brothers and sisters.
Since cancer, I feel more vulnerable and out of control than I ever have before.
Since cancer, I also pray a lot more than I ever did

    Perspective

I guess the good or the bad is all about how we look at something, just thinking yes my Cancer was bad but look at all the good things it did for me.

    Since Cancer
I talk out loud to myself
I'm more tolerant of those around me
I realize how precious the moments are
    I wave at passing airplanes
I feel like I walk on egg shells every day
    I am generally more depressed
I am generally more joyful about insignificant stupid stuff
    I worry about recurrence daily
    I eat much better
I am in better shape physically
I am in worse shape mentally
I marvel at anyone who became an oncologist
I see the need for socialized medicine
I don't trust medical insurance companies
    I hear every cancer commercial
    I'm becoming a better cook
I pet the cat and dogs more
I spoil my wife and children
I need to get away more
I don't like to be away from my family

Since I heard I have Cancer
learned that every day is WONDERFUL...... just DIFFERENT DEGREES of WONDERFUL!

learned that we have to accept our "new normal" and make the best of it each and every moment

learned to enjoy each sun rise, thank you Father above!

learned Survivorship is not the same as survivor

learned all chemo nurses have a passion to help and make it easy for the fighters

learned winning the war against cancer was maintaining a daily battle of Positive Mental Attitude!

learned that being a man means I must learn to accept help... that kicking cancers butt can not be done by yourself

learned that the blue/clear trach does not look so bad in pictures

    great post Hondo!

    bottle flipping
Since cancer, I have developed the ability to toss a water botter over my front side, over my shoulder, and catch it in the opposite hand. I can do this 80 to 85% of the time. This is way beyond the pre cancer rates.
