And so it begins.....
I have to be at St. Louis Univ Monday morning for lung biopsy and fuducial placement for upcoming Cyberknife. They will work on tumor in left lower lobe first since it is largest at about 2.2cm now. I have opted to go to a new facility in St. Louis area that houses a new Cyberknife machine. This new machine performs at almost twice the speed of the model at St. Louis Univ. The biggest drawback of Cyberknife...at least to me... is the time I have to lie flat on my back on that hard table. I broke my back in 2 places a few years back and had to have concrete put in to aide in healing. This new machine will cut my table time almost in half...YAY!... add some "happy" drugs to that and HEY!... I'm good!!!
After the procedure Monday...then it's wait a week and get cradle made...then wait a week and start Cyberknife..which will be 4 days in a row and 1.5 hours daily. Then wait 2 weeks and start the whole procedure over on the other lung.
My new countertops are being installed Friday and then my new kitchen will be almost usable. I have designed this kitchen with a juicing station...veg/fruit prep area... 31 cu ft.state of the art frig with air tight storage for all my organics. Also added a Water filtration system. Can't wait to get with the program (full time and forever!)
I am hoping this new Cyberknife schedule will not interfere with CP9 but they cannot guarantee me that...and of course my health comes first..soooooo.. I will just have to play the wait and see game.

sounds good
Hi Jennie,
I'm glad you're getting the cyberknife done and in the newer more modern facility! Exciting about the new kitchen- sounds really nice and usable.
We remodeled our kitchen 5 years ago & I still remember all too well how it was not having a usuable kitchen for a while. You'll love it, I'm sure!
Saying prayers right now for you for all to go well.
Hugs, my friend-

Good luck,I hope every thing goes well.
right through this. A little fatigue, but that's all. Robert had it done last Nov on his liver. Tech told him to bring his favorite CDs and he could listen while the tumor was being zapped.

I also was told I could bring in my own CDs. That really really helped a lot (I'm mildly claustrophobic and wasn't offered any happy pills). I was tempted to bring in some serious rock n roll but instead took in a couple of my favorite meditation/relaxation CDs and that really helped a lot. I think I did 5 days, 1.5 hrs each time (my memory is thankfully already blocking!). Good luck darling!
