When is your mastectomy so we can get the pink bus loaded with the sisters for you.
Hugs, Leeza
I also had a lumpectomy, but wanted to send you hugs and prayers.
Yes, please let us know when so we can load the Pink Bus up with yummy goodies.
And, yes again, the sisters here are amazing! The best advise and support ever!

The pink bus is an imaginary bus that all of the pink sisters get on to support you. It is just our way of showing you how we support you.
Good luck the 15th!0 -

surgery
Hi Sunshinedancer, hope you are recovering well after surgery? I just had my done on Wednesday and am doing pretty good, the tube being the only thing that bothers me. This is the first day I have felt like doing something other than sleeping. Go back to the doctors on Thursday to get the tube taken out (none to soon)! Lots of hugs to you and let me know how things are going for you:)0 -

Hi Catowner, so glad to hear that you are doing well after surgery!! I had a rough night the first nite after surgery as they forgot to give me my long term pain med. It was explained as an 'oversite'and my surgeon wasn't very happy with the nurse's that night, needless to say. Since then though, I've been coming along fairly well. My problem seems to be that when I feel good I try to do too much and end up overdoing it. I'm not used to sitting around recuperating so I just have to learn to pace myself. I have my follow up with surgeon on Fri and hoping to get the drains out then as they are cumbersome! Waiting for my path report from sentinel node biopsy which should be back today or tomorrow. All in all feeling pretty positive today. Remind me, did you have the bilateral or unilateral mastectomy??0 -

Glad to hear you are doing well! I had unilateral mastectomy on right side. They did not find any cancer in my lymph nodes but I am still waiting for one more test on it to be 100% sure. The surgeon said she thought 90% that I will not even need chemo, but I hate to get too excited until this final test which I should hear about any day now. I also have trouble pacing myself and the next step is to shower(which I should have already done but I am kind of chicken)so either today yet or tomorrow. I have thought about you everyday since hearing about our surgeries one day apart, and am very relieved to hear from you that everything went well and you are on the road to recovery. What state do you live in? I'm in Minnesota. Gonna go for now but keep in touch and best wishes....Debbie0 -

Hi Debbie, Great news that they didn't find any cancer in the lymph nodes that's awesome!! I'm still waiting on results for my sentinel node biopsy, probably get them Wed or Thurs. I can't wait to take a shower! I took a bath yesterday but its not the same thing as I still have my drains in; hopefully those will be out on Fri I'm in Maine and we are starting to get fall like weather here which I love, but not so much what comes after fall. Hope you're final test results are great, let me know how you make out...Jeanne0 -

Maine seems like such a beautiful state, do you live in Bangor which is where my favorite author (Stephen King) lives? We are also getting fall like temps and color here which is beautiful, but I also don't look forward to the cold and snow which arrives soon after. I took a shower today and had to have my husband wash my hair. Can't wait until the tube comes out and I can try for a bath! I sure hope you get good results on the lymph nodes, I'll be praying for good news:) I'll be sure and stay in touch and you do the same...Debbie0
