I met Rookerbird!!!

Kathy (Rookerbird) brought some wigs and scarves and hats by yesterday that she wants me to donate to my local support group. Such a sweet lady! And her son, who was visiting from Houston, is a delightful young man. Since Kathy is on some pain meds, her son has been her chauffeur during his visit. He joked that it was "just like driving Miss Daisy."

It's quite a distance from Kathy's house, just outside North Dallas, to mine, between Dallas and Fort Worth, so I thought it was tremendously generous and thoughtful of her.

She looks just like her profile picture - cute as can be!

Meeting my online sisters "in the flesh" is always such a treat. I'm not glad I got Cancer, of course, but I cannot imagine my life without all of you. We truly are a family.

    I feel the same way about you and all of teal family. Each and everyone of us is very unique and we all have such strength we did't know we had. As they say strength in numbers.it is so wonderful to meet face to face with our family.,,val

    I have met one ovarian
    I have met one ovarian cancer survivor. We had another illness in common but this was a deeper kinship. With just a look, we seemed to know where we were at. She has survived decades with no reoccurrence but my recent experiences mirrored hers.

    I met a couple of church ladies who had different cancers, and that brought on another form of instant kinship. They were much older but experiences were not that different. For all it's horror cancer changes people sometimes for the best.

    since I have really just
    since I have really just started chemo on had four rounds so far I am not getting out much and now they have me on morphine so I can't drive. I have a friend who takes me places let me talk with her and then maybe we can get together. I was born in Mesa so I know it kinda good
