I am praying you do not have to add another color. I am thinking positive thoughts for your biopsy.

Val
Hoping and praying that it's not a new cancer or mets . My friend's mother has had several breast biopsies, one time the drs. were certain it was cancer. It was not. They were actually amazed that it wasn't. Sending good thoughts, hugs and prayers your way.

Oh Val !
I am so sorry you are going thru this. I am hoping the biopsys come back negative , thats why they do them because they can't tell ahead of time so try to think positive. You can deal with bad news if you get it but take this time to think of a good outcome. When do you have the procedure?
You will always be Teal to me.I also have kidney cancer but I barely give it a thought after the surgery, I always wear my beautiful bracelet that I got in the mail and don't even have anything to represent my kidney cancer ! Good Luck !

Peach?Susan53 said:Hey Val you can choose
If it turns out breast remember teal and pink make purple. Purple is a symbol for all cancers. I am teal, peach and purple . I use the purple for my appendix cancer since it dosen't have a color. Even with the 3 cancers I consider myself teal.
What cancer does peach represent?0 -
They thought I might have breast cancer a couple years ago.kellyh33 said:Praying too
Oh Val, this is so not fair but you are tough and no matter what the outcome you will face it head on. If anyone can beat this it's you.
I will be praying for you tonight, please let as know as soon as you can.

When a PET scan showed a malignant lymph node under my arm, the rarity of gynecologic cancers metastiscizing there had everyone thinking this may be a new primary cancer: breast cancer. This was my first recurrence and my oncologist was HOPING it was breast cancer and not mets. Both my oncologists and the breast cancer specialist assured me that breast cancer is so CURABLE and MANAGEABLE, that it would be good news indeed if this was breast cancer and my other cancer was still in remission. I had a biopsy, and it turned out that it was a metastisis of my original cancer, a recurrence. That was 2 years ago. That underarm lymph node never seems to get any bigger (no one can even feel it when they try to) and lights up and then goes dark on various PET scans, off and on. Some mets are very controllable. Others, like my liver mets, are completely out of control.
Of course, I'm hoping and EXPECT that your biopsy will show things as BENIGN. (((((Val))))
One suggestion: if you have never had a live tissue assay and if this biopsy removes any cancerous tissue, this is the perfect opportunity to get an assay done. I had the tissue they removed from my biopsy tested for estrogen & progesteron receptivity, and HER2neu. That info is so good to know as it may open up new targeted treatment options for you.0 -
Tethys, peach is the colorTethys41 said:Peach?
What cancer does peach represent?
Tethys, peach is the color of uterine cancer. Teal is also the color for all gynecologic cancers not just ovarian although that it has become most known. For those of us with Type 2 uterine cancers, the aggressive types that behave very much like ovarian and are treated the same, teal and peach seem both appropriate. And I also earned my pink! Such a rainbow.
