Luis and Jeff T
Luis should have been discharged today but his white blood cell count was significantly higher this morning so they decided to keep him here and on IV antibiotics for one more night. They cultured everything but think the source was his chemo port. So they took that out along with his chest tubes today. We are hoping he will get to come home tomorrow. But that will be pending more blood work.
Pathology report finally came back today. The tumor had shrunk to T1 at the time of removal, which is stage 1A. Thirteen lymph nodes were removed and all came back clean! So no post-op chemo for him!
Continued prayers for all.
Warm regards,

Great News
Laura,
Praise the Lord for the report on Luis. No positive lymph nodes........what great news. Hope he continues on the fast track to recovery and gets to go home soon. So far it looks like the entire junior class is doing well. I'm sure we all can't wait for the day when we can think of this battle with EC as a distant memory.
Still in my thoughts and prayers

Laura,
So happy to hear that the pathology is clear. As someone who had to do post operative chemo I am always happy to see someone who does not. Luis should be on his way home soon I hope.

Great news
I'm sure you are breathing a bit better now with the Pathology report back. I hope Luis blood counts are better tomorrow. Thank you for the update.0 -
That is wonderful news! An
That is wonderful news! An extra day or two in the hospital won't hurt him, as long as it keeps him from going back next week for an infection. I am so happy suregery went well and that all nodes were clear. That is just fantastic.
We will pray for a speedy recovery and strength for you both.
God Bless

Wonderful news!
No post-op chemo! How great is that ! We are still waiting on pathology reports to know about Nick.
Good news also about Jeff T. The MIE sounds remarkable if they are able to be about and about with little pain (compared to the major of the surgery) so quickly.
Nick's pain had gone up significantly last night. Higher activity and not adjusting the meds quickly enough made him one hurting fellow by night. It will all work out in the end.
Prayers and good wishes to all!
