Has anyone ever organized anything for thyroid cancer research? I see runs and fundraisers for most diseases but never this one... I knwo it is a big task, but it could be great for awareness.0 -

Is there a colored ribbon for thyroid cancer awareness? Just curious because I would definitely like to wear one!

I wear it proudly every day. I wear it on my scrubs at work, on my dress clothes and even my work out clothes. I got mine at the Arizona Cancer Center where I go to see my Oncologist. They have a nice gift shop there with lots of fun cancer collectibles.0 -

I decided to send an email to all my staff about thyroid awareness month. I included how to do a neck check. 5 out of 150 wrote back to say thanks, they didnt know about checking their necks, and actually did it.
Its a start.
Cheers

Got lots of likes and comments. It's up to us to inform the public about our cancer.

Thank you so much for posting a site where I can buy a thyroid cancer ribbon. I wear a breast cancer ribbon all the time, but now with that will be the thyroid cancer ribbon as well.
Thanks again,

Hi Julie,
I posted awareness on FB as well and the only way to publicize our type of cancer is to make people more aware. You are so right about it being up to us to inform the public and there is no time like the present.
Thanks,

I posted it on my FB also - frankly, I'd never heard of it before I actually got thyroid cancer, and I read that it is the 5th most prevalent cancer in women (wow!). I wish there was a function to raise awareness and money.0
