Niki,
So glad to hear that all went well with the surgery. I am sure the days ahead will keep you busy. Know that we are all praying for you and Jeff as you go through this time.

Hi Niki, I hope all went well for the surgery. I'm sure you must be exhausted, after waiting 8 hours. It must feel like a lifetime for you. May Jeff heal quickly and be up and at em soon. Thinking of you, we're here for you.

Hi neighbor we are in the Berks county area. Thank you for the update. I was praying and thinking of both of you yesterday. I can only imagine how difficult it is to sit in the waiting room for so many hours . . . I pray you are breathing easier and that you have been able to touch your dear husband. Every time my husband has anything - test, procedure, whatever, I always feel so much better once I see him and can touch his warmth.
Our prayers continue for Jeff, you, and your family in the days and weeks ahead.

Glad to hear surgery is over
Niki,
That 8 hours is past now. Hopefully the "live" EC is gone with it.
You and Jeff with any luck can go back to your hopes and dreams, pick up where you dropped things when the diagnosis was originally made. I realize we will all have a series of tests to complete over the next months and years, but your life can return to its "new" normal now.
Positive thoughts, energy and prayers go your direction. Praying that Jeff's stay in ICU is short and that his recovery is quick.

Prayers for your mom!unknown said:This comment has been removed by the Moderator
Hi William and Loretta,
I am sorry to hear about your Mom's injury, I will send a prayer up for her pain to be relieved and her recovery to be as quick as possible.
Jeff is looking better, he is heavily drugged so he keeps nodding in and out, but that is ok as long as his pain is minimal. He did take two laps around the ICU today. He had to spend another night in the ICU because there were no beds available on the thoracic floor. I am hoping he can move tomorrow so that he can get disconnected from the some of the tubes and be more mobile. We do anxiously await the pathology report.
Again, I hope your Mom is doing better and can come home soon.

Thank you for taking the time to update us on how Jeff is doing. Just remember the first few days are the worse and then things start to improve quickly. Getting up and doing laps around the unit is a very good sign Jeff’s strength increasing. For me the pain meds were a double edged sword. They obviously controlled the pain but also made me very tired. I had a fentanyl drip and pump that worked great for the first few days but then I started with some intense nightmares that got so bad I told the pain management team to get me off this stuff. They changed me over to Percocet and all was well again.
Keep up the Great work and please let Jeff know we’re all pulling for him.
