large hard lump over night on side of right breast and painful from first day -anyone have this?
Is there any way to drill down to find someone with similar symptoms -- that really showed up over night. I am not super tired.. maybe a little spacy but that is because I don't know what to do first... and I have a lot to do.
It just seems odd that no where do I find someone who has the same thing going on. Large (over 2") lump- hard... doesn't go away... painful (almost throbing) that showed up in a 24 hour period.
It didn't show up on a mamogram or in an exam... there was no way to miss it when I woke up... just bam.... right there.
thanks. sorry I sound shallow... I just don't have hours to spend on the computer nor do I want to. The websites are so general... no way to get info from them.

The best thing you can do
The best thing you can do for yourself is to get in to a doctor and have this looked at. Even if someone here had the exact thing it wouldn't mean that is what you have. It is definitely something to have addressed by a physician. I am thinking that if it came on suddenly and had not previously been seen on a mammo or exam and is that large that it could be a cyst, a infected gland or well any number of other things. And because I am not a doctor and do not have their mass of knowledge I will admit it could be cancer. The only way to find out is by seeing a doctor. Please do that and come back and let us know what it was. I really don't remember anyone here having something quite like this.
My prayers are that it is something that will easily treatable and not a cancer.

I agree
Though I often can go in to the doctor and tell him what the diagnosis is (merely on more common things). I would not hesitate to go on things that stump me. To get anywhere with getting treatment you have to go see him. It could be something really simple.0 -

Please call your doctor today and let him know. He might want to do an ultrasound and a MRI as a mammo doesn't always show up everything.
Good luck and let us know.

Some types of BC can come up very quickly and it's best to get it checked out. hopefully it is nothing but you will feel better knowing.
