The largest brain fart

Ok...blush....stick that one back in and grab another....she looks at me funny again...it was the Sally Beauty Supply discount card......um...ok....try again....I bring out the Albertson's discount card. I sigh, and say...."I apologize it is my chemo brain." On the fourth try I get the right card and I even remembered the right PIN for it.
I can't say I was embarrassed or anything because I was not...I was amazed at how negatively the chemo has impacted my cognitive abilities.

I did the same thing! Only I tried to pay for my purchases with my drivers license, instead of my debit card.

I have tried to use my library card in Kroger, and my Kroger card in the library. LOL! I find that even organizing myself enough to cook. New recipes really throw me off. I have to do everything in small increments these days it seems. I just laugh at myself and go on. Don't know what else to do.0 -
I can relate
I was asked for my driver's license the other day for a dealer loaner car, and handed them my debit card. We all just laughed!!0 -

I remember ordering a sandwich when I was still going through the chemo and having those moments. The service gal asked me what I wanted on my sandwich and I wanted tomato but I totally lost the word. I could picture tomatoes in my mind but I could not vocalize that's what I wanted. I seriously was so frustrated I wanted to cry. Crazy!0 -

The funniest chemo brain incident for me was when i was asked my birthdate at a store and did not have a clue - of all things MY BIRTHDATE!!! The numbers I had to repeat over and over again during chemo and treatment - i must have said them over 50 times a week but there in the store, they were gone - LOL0
