I am in that trial also. I am enrolled in Cleveland Ohio and supposed to get my first injection on Thursday. Good luck and keep in touch!
Linda
Hi Linda, I was turned down for that first trial but will try for GOG 255 at Stanford. It is for women in 2nd or 3rd remission. Keep your fingers crossed.

I'm in NC and started the vaccine trial GOG 255 in August. Started 8 rounds of Taxol/Carbo for 1st recurrance in Jan. and finished end of June. In July my scan was clear and CA-125 3.9. After three weekly inj. my CA has now jumped to 76 but I did have my 4th inj. last Thursday so will get a 125 remeasure next week. I will have a CT later this week and I feel well and I'm hoping the spike is due to the antigen reacting to cells. Ahhh, all part of being on the wheel, but we have to try.
Good luck with your trial. I did find that the day after my inj. I had nausea all day and my arm was really red and swollen at the inj. site plus a low grade fever. But all of this went away after 3 days- all tolerable!!
For my 4th inj. I asked for some Emend and they also gave me 3 days of prednisone which was perfect- no ill side effects at all. I'm still in awe of the research that is going on and will continue to search out trials 'cause we never know what will be the right fit in the puzzle. Hopefully I'll get some ++++ results and be allowed to continue with the trial. Prayers to all, El0 -

I am sorry you did not get in that trial and I know you are looking at another one. I just thought I would share with you that there is another one something like the one I am in that just came out. The number for the one I am in is CAN-003 and the girls told me that there is a new one CAN-004 that I could try if I have a re-occurance on the present one. It may be worth checking into as well.
Good luck! Keep me posted!0 -

I am in Ohio and just started the CVAC trial. Had my first injections Thursday. My sites were sore and red also. And I did feel a little nausea but not too bad. Keep telling myself that is a sign it is working!
Sending prayers that you get good test results and the vaccine works!0 -

...but that's just ME! My vaccine didn't 'take' but I want all who are on vaccine trials to know that no one knows what will work for YOU! . The wonderful caveat about clinical trials is that you're kept close at hand and watched like a hawk. Since my CA125 spiked so quickly, I was able to get a CT scan yesterday and it detected a couple of new pelvic lymph node growths- so my take on it is that if my 125 wasn't monitored as close as it was, the growth could have been much more and also detected at a later time. Also, for me, I'm really sensitive to this particular titer plus I had the tell-tale sign of the bloated feeling starting up. I think that will always be my personal clue to pay attention to, plus feeling extra tired this week.
I'll find out next week what meds I plan to start and stay on for awhile. I don't mind taking a treatment- just treat it and I'll find some way around the situation to do what I like when I can. I'd love to keep up with all the ladies on the vaccine trials so please keep posting. Carlene- where are you?? You were my inspiration to try for a vaccine trial ...((HUGS)) to all, Ellen0
