I woke up to the smell of coffee; I stretched as my husband walked in with my coffee and morning kiss. A few minutes later, I tiptoed to the atrium room, where my husband was working on my computer. I sat on my wonderful couch and sipped my coffee to the sound of water dripping in my nearby water fountain. Listening to the soft music coming out of the speakers, I stared out the window, which is framed with wonderful, green plants in every shade of green. My husband asks me if I want a day trip to San Francisco, oh, fun! We decided on Monterrey. My sister calls and says breakfast is ready at Mom's, I shower, and we go to breakfast, picking up eggs on the way. Taking my 20 vitamins with me, of course! After a wonderful breakfast, we get into my husband's new White Silverado Truck and head to Monterrey. 30 minutes down the road, my daughter calls and asks, what time will you be over? Huh, I replied? You know Mom, Donna my Mom in law is in town... Oh, my co-madre! (as I signaled to my husband to turn around), we will be there around 6, can't wait to see every one. "Great, thanks Mom!" Oh, Heck, that was a close one! Oh, Well.... Asi es la vida!
My husband says, without a blink says, let's go to Home Depot and buy some sprinkler heads so I can fix the broken ones. Sounds good ! say! I buy a flat of Mums. We go to Costco to buy our youngest daughter a laptop. We go home, my husband to his sprinklers and me to work on the pool. I water the plants and plant some flowers. Start the sprinkler in the yard, loving the cold water as it sprinkles on my shoulders. I set the time timer for the pool pump. Look over at my husband and enter the house through the family room.
I pour myself a small glass of wine, my husband walks in does a slight pat on my bottom. He starts a golf match on the TV, while working on the lap top. I sip my wine and decide to write what I was thinking......
Time to go read a couple pages, maybe jump in bed for a nap, and get ready to head to our daughter's house. I can't wait to see my 4 grand kids and their Nana Donna. I've been working long hours and days, and have not seen them in a while,
I know it's been a great day! We spent it together just like hubby wanted, together, we accomplished something, and we relaxed.
I know that I am blessed. Thank you for reading!

Thanks, Raquel
I enjoyed reading your post- kind of short story like they sometimes put in the women's magazines
Glad you and hubby are having a good day and your attitude is so good- enjoy!
My hubby and I are leaving in about 10 minutes to drive to Orange County for a friend's 50th bday party (I'm just waiting for him to come downstairs, so I'm playing on the computer a few minutes).
Hugs,
Lisa0
