Sore Mouth and Throat Relief - Any Suggestions?
The back of his throat and his lips are getting sore - does anyone have any suggestions?
I have been reading all the wonderful postings on the discussion board to warn him about many things - soreness, dehydration, excess mucous, saliva drying out..
I thought I read about Magic Mouthwash to help with sore throat.
My dad is otherwise very healthy.
Many thanks,
Leora

Magic Mouthwash
Is more a solution of different lidocaine type solutions...
Magic Mouthwash
It's more for a short term solution to pain before eating, drinking, taking meds, etc....
There is a lot of good info on Sweetblood's - Dawn's SuperThread. She and others recommend L'Glutamine rinses...
Myself I used a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda for rinse and spits.
As for pain prior to taking meds, ensure and water.I usually used the majic mouth wash, drank water, ensure and a few sliced peaches in light syrup, more water and a dissolved percocet.
Welcome to the forum, a lot of great people and tons of history and experiences.
Best,
