PET scan results and update

The spot on my liver (it showed up on a CT scan) did not light up on the PET scan. YAY! No biopsy needed, but it will be watched closely.

There is a spot near my lungs that did light up (but did not show up on the CT scan). BOO! That spot will get an ultrasound guided needle biopsy. I'm waiting to hear from the scheduler on when we can get that done.

As you may recall, the local re-occurrence will require surgery. I should get a date for that when my surgeon returns from vacation on Tuesday.

Thank you all for helping me get through the tests and numerous doctor calls this week. I can't imagine how much harder this would be without you.

    Linda it is good to see you post, I have been watching for it. Be sure to let us know when these procedures are scheduled so we can send our support and lift you up in prayer. It's good that the liver did not light up and who knows the other could be something besides cancer so I am going hang my hat on that hope! You have all the support I can muster and daily prayers!!!

    Linda, I was looking for your PET results
    Thank you for your update. Great news - liver is clear. Like Janelle said let's hope and pray for clear lungs and whatever was lighten up, stop lighting.

    I've been scanning for your updates, Linda. Am relieved & glad for the good portion of your results. And will be HOPEFUL for the other - that it'll turn out to be something else, not cancer.

    So happy that your liver is clear! Believe me, I am going to be there with you for that surgery. And I'm praying the lung will be ok or will respond. Please keep us updated. We need to know when to get on that pink bus!

    Hi Linda,

    It is wonderful news that the growth on your liver did not light up on the PET scan. We need all the good news we can get around here. I am sorry to hear that a lung biopsy is needed. When you have a firm date please let us know so that the Magic Pink Bus can be gassed up and on the road. You have had a terrific week (NOT) and I hope the next round of tests, appts, surgeries, etc. goes well for you (and your family).

    Yeah for your liver, Linda!
    I'm sending you all positive energy that the lung thing is just a blip on the radar and NOT serious. Having to have the biopsy stinks, but all will be okay. Stay strong, focused and positive that the lung is pretty, pink and healthy.

    Keep us posted all the way. Things are gonna turn around.

    Wishing good results on you ultrasound. Glad your liver scan was neg.

    I just went through this recently.My breast tumor was benign.Found out 3 weeks ago. I am just starting to feel better.I was a mess worrying.

    seems like a long line of
    seems like a long line of people waiting ... so happy about the good test result on the liver and praying for negative results on the lung. Sorry you have to go through that!!
