I am considering on
I am considering on attending, but wonder about how slow I am going to be....a few weeks out of chemo. I have a friend who is willing to attend with me. Thankfully the registration deadline is out there and lets me see how I am doing then.0 -

be a cheerleader on the sidelines. You'll find the whole experience very empowering. The walk/run I went to in July had whole families walking for loved ones, ONCs, chemo nurses, etc. It was a wonderful experience which left me the feeling that OVCA touches so many lives and that finding a cure is a priority.

Walk
I am attending a walk here at Riverdale Park in downtown Toronto, Canada. I signed up this morning. It is being held Sunday, September 11th and offers two routes, one of 2.5 km. and one of 5 km.
I am going with a friend from my support group, she hopes to do the 5 km. walk. Hopefully, I will be able to keep up with her, she's 50, 16 years younger than me!
But whatever distance I do walk, I am doing it for all of us teal sisters.

I am doing the Winner's Walk of Hope Sept 11th in Kitchener, Ontario. So far I have raised $1500.00. This is something i am going to do every year. Next year I am hoping to raise two thousand. That is still my goal for this year and i still haven't asked my neighbours so it might happen.
Whatever you can do it is an accomplishment. We will all be with you in spirit. Good luck!
