I lost great friend to BC-I have known her since the day I was born-she was my 2nd mom-my mom died 4 yrs ago so she was my run to person in time of need! I miss her dearly!

just venting...

(worst thing I was in Disney at the time-I missed funeral by 24 hrs-I know out of my control but still feel bad about missing it)

    Vent any time you want.
    It's hard to miss a funeral while you're on vacation. I missed my uncle's this summer while we were in St. Louis. We had tried for 2 years to take the trip. First my father-in-law was sick, then my onc didn't want me to travel. We finally made it this year and ended up losing my uncle unexpectedly and missing the funeral.

    Awww.. I am sure she would have understood and was probably quite happy that you were in a place that made you happy enjoying life as it should be. Her spirit and strength are still with you.

    @Lorrie exactly what her
    @Lorrie exactly what her family said...we were going to rent car and drive 24 hrs straight back but decided not to!

    sad thing is now her Senior husband is failing quickly-new in nursing home etc. LIKE a dad to me since mine died when I was 19-he gave me away in wedding etc..so truely both family to me

    NOW her husband is not well at all..he's like a dad to me since mine died when I was 19 so he's been my dad longer then my real dad...(NOW 52 yrs)
