Shock and Awe!

in Head and Neck Cancer #1
Hi Friends! I went today and was in the "Donut" for an hour, awaiting the biopsy needle. Well, they remove me from the table, after flipping me around like a cod fish, and told me the Dr. needs to talk to me. Okay. I get up, and the Dr.comes in, and says he cannot find anything to biopsy. What!!? He compared all the scans and looked, but nothing is there. I can only say, that God was my co-pilot. As I began my journey - my favorite song came on (Casting Crowns- Praise you in this storm) and I KNEW in my heart,it was all good. So comparing all my scans they figure it may have been an infection. I know better. As I left, I put on my radio, and once again - my song came on. The doctor was so confused, and surprised, as he had it all planned,collapsed lung, hospital stay etc. But we all know who is really in control - God. Thanks all for all the prayers - they are very powerful! Thanks Hondo, for reminding me who my co-pilot really is! I hope I can inspire others to trust in God, and trust their heart. I wish you all love and healing! I am doing the happy dance AGAIN!!!!!!

    It just makes me want to slap my self when I doubt that all will be okay. I am so grateful I did not have to go through that needle biopsy! I am blessed, and will pray for you too! Thank you! Love & Prayers, Patty

    Better then a NED

    What a dance we are having tonight Patty, what is better then NED, a Gone Pecorn in my book. As the song says How Grate thou Art, truly we serve a living God who can hear the prayer of his Children.

    I had Him riding shot gun - for sure! It was truly amazing, yet I was confident and secure.
    I knew I was the one riding shot-gun and He was in control, and really not anxious., or nervous. Lol! I believe in miracles and BELIEVE I just experienced one! Thanks Hondo! God bless you in all you do!
    Thank you all for getting me thru this bump in the road. You all have no idea what an impact you have on us all - especially me! Together we can beat this! Just BELIEVE!

    Hopefully this also re-enforces for others that not all lit up areas on scans are cancer....

    Only God knows for sure in your situation what really went down, so not down playing that at all.

    But as my ENT always assures me the PET and CT are just tools in the aresenal.

    I know when I had my initial scans, I had some Diverticulitis going on and it lit up the scans... It actually delayed my initial Chemo by a few weeks until the meds kicked in for it.

    Thoughts & Prayers you stay clean girl, LOL...

    What an amazing story and an excellent reminder that in Christ all things are possible!
    When I was first diagnosed I found a lot of comfort in the song I am Yours by Casting Crowns so apparently they have a really good ministry going.
    I have been very blessed and have had my own miracle but going through tough appointments, scares, and questionable scans can still be very daunting. During these times it is important for me to remember just how much God has done for me so far and know that he is going to continue to work in my life.

    He wasn't shotgun or copilot, he was pilot and driving. Never reduce Him to the copilot seat, that means we are in control.
