CEA 1.0biz said:Hooray!
That is just so great. Puts a smile on my face.
My CEA is always at 1. I guess I'll never be able to use that number as an indicator of anything. Is this true for anyone else?
Biz,
My CEA was 1.0 pre surgery. It was .6 following surgery and after six months of Folfox, Three months post treatment it was .7. My surgeon and oncologist both said I was in the group most likely to reoccurr. I am on the 3 month scan schedule and have my 12 month post dx coming up. My oncologist said we would watch the CEA closely to see if it rises. I will keep you posted on whether it indicates a true measure of cancer returning. Till then praying and living life in 3 month segments.
