I think about Donna often.
I think about Donna often. Her kids are on my fb- and I get a great deal of comfort from their posts. Hard to explain (there are a few of us on her facebook who know what I mean)- but she struggled so hard with leaving her kids and I just kinda feel like a bunch of us are watching out for them. Obviously in a small way and they do have a great extended family- but it helps me greatly to maintain that small contact.0 -

I also remember beautiful Donna and her bubbly personality. May she and her loved ones be at peace.

Hi Chicky:)
Has it really been a year?
We've never gone this long without talking before:(
I suppose it has been that long because I was just getting out of the hospital around this time last year.
Not too long ago, I read the last words you ever said to me - the night before I went into surgery. That was just our little thing, talking the night before my surgeries; how I cherish those conversations.
I've still got your last voicemail, but when I hear your voice, well, it's very hard and I can't listen too long, you know? The pain is still too much. 'Cause when I hear your voice, I know that you were alive then and I can "hear the life" in your voice still.
I miss seeing you on my posts. I miss being on yours. I miss the PMs. Like everyone who ever met you, I just miss YOU.
I miss our playful banter - you made me feel like a schoolboy again passing notes back and forth to his 1st crush:)
The story of the Lion and his Chicky is old folklore now, but during those days, were some of my happiest times on this board. They have long been archived to the back of the CSN posts, buried and forgotten now , but to the folks who were on the board during that time, they probably remember the tales...
Chicky, I wanted you to know that I got a special surpise for you as soon as the book is finished. I know it's something that would make you happy and I think everyone will be happy with it as well.
I haven't told the board yet, because I wanted it to be special and make the announcement to you and everyone so we could all share in it on that special day.
Your Lion still "roars" for you:)
Do you remember these, Donna?
