Still kickin'...just not as high

Thank you all for your posts. Sorry I have not posted earlier, but have been feeling a bit numb. The good news is that no disease was found in the neck. Even the hot spot they were watching is no longer visible. Hooray!
Unfortunately, there is a questionable site in my right lung. I will be going to Mt Sinai for a needle biopsy on 8/29. From the info they gave me, sounds like a lot of fun. Ugh! At least I know I am in good hands - God's, and have skilled doctors. I pray I will get through this too, as I have two wonderful teenagers, who need their Mom around for a while.
I have been so blessed in the past, and know if I can just get past this "distraction", God will answer my prayers. "Ask, Believe, Receive!" Please know you are always in my prayers, and pray that I may gain back the hope, and faith I had just a week ago. Thanks friends, and God bless you! Patty (up to 119lbs) getting Fatty. ;)

    Fatty Patty

I am glad to hear you are putting on a few pounds; I am stuck at 156lbs and will not move. I am also happy for you on the good report of no NED in the neck now we just need to keep praying for the lungs.

God bless and keep you while in His workshop.

    Stuck!
My best weight in 11/2010 was 120lbs. I shrunk down to 110lbs in February 2011, so 119lbs is a good thing. Gonna try and break 120lbs. I know what you mean by "stuck". Thanks Hondo, you are always in my prayers. "He's not finished with me yet!" Believing... Patty

    LUNG SPOT
Hi Patty, good news on the neck. I also had a spot on my lung that was found in February. it was then determined to be scar tissue from the radiation. I had another chest CT in July and the spot was totally gone. it was then determined to have been some type of inflamation in my lung.

I have been told it is very common to have scar tissue and or inflamation develop after IMRT treatment as in my case the radiation probably crossed into the very upper lobes of my lung.

    Hope this helps.

    The waiting sucks.

    Best!!
