Support for Cancer
I like the American Cancer Society Ovarian board. The women there are so helpful and brave. I also love the magazine "Coping with Cancer." They publish essays from real cancer patients. I read one essay about reading too much on line about your cancer and getting so absessed that you are almost not really living. I could see some of myself in what he was talking about.

Mary Ann,
I'm always looking for new support. If you go to www.yahoogroups.com you can find a list of never-ending groups of all kinds. I found one for my particular aggressive cancer MMMT. Not a big group but we all have a lot in common. Also, get all postings right to my email address --- no sight to log onto such as CSN. One I noticed is UTERINE CANCER SUPPORT FORUM...give it a whirl.
Another one I found but don't have the URL was a site where we plug in our information and gives us people local in our area with same type of illness specs. If interested I can check thru my notes.
Never can have enough support. One last thing, I'm involves in a local support group (free) through the CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY, which has locations all over the US. I go each week for 2 hours to chat with other women with different types of cancers. We have so much in common and really have learned how to get thru life with a cancer diagnosis, etc. Wonderful, wonderful support!!!
Good luck!

This isn't online, but for
This isn't online, but for people who live near MD Anderson in the Houston area there is a Uterine cancer support group that meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at the Place of... Wellness, Mays Clinic second floor from 12:00 TO 1:00pm. I haven't gotten up the courage to go myself but I have met some of the women who attend and they seem very supportive.
