as I only had 39! What a milestone for you. If you have been reading the forum then you already know that this is where the rubber meets the road but for the moment lets celebrate all those slayed dragons you left behind.

    Milestone
That's great news, the end of rads finally. Just walking out that door for the last time is certainly a relief. Hopefully Jim will begin to feel a little better sooner rather than later. For now, just enjoy the end of rads! Cheers.

    Celebrating today
Yeah we know that this is the start of new challenges, but we are enjoying this milestone for today. Jim has pretty much been pain free, except when the gland was infected, but this week he has been on regular pain meds for tongue sores. We have gotten this far and believe we will make it to the NED soon. Jim is talking about future plans today where before he did not want to talk about it. So I am grateful for that.

    Big Day!
I remember everything about that last day of radiation. Felt like total ca-ca, but was one of the best days ever, knowing I made it. Congrats and here's to a fast, boring recovery.

    thanks
Thanks to everyone. We hd a fairly good day yesterday. Jim was up most of the day, I thinl it was the elation of it being over tht gave him energy. We did however go to bed at 9:30PM which is unusual for us. I think maybe we were postponing going to bed early during treatment because we dreaded getting up to go again. Now we can sleep in and we were both up at 6am, go figure.
