Taxol was easier than AC for
Taxol was easier than AC for me. Some muscle pains (but could have been the nuelesta), fatigue, tingling of feet. I think you will do great with it.0 -
We're all different!
For me, Taxol was a lot worse than A/C was. Was completely and utterly EXHAUSTED through all 12 of them. 1/2 way through them I started having a hard time keeping potassium levels close to normal - 1 1/2 yrs later and I'm still having problems keep it up even with taking mega doses of it. I started feeling better a week after the last Taxol even though i started Rads that day and continued to feel better every day thereafter.
Remember that no 2 of us will react/feel the same as anyone else will. WE're each so unisue.

chemo wasnt great for me but taxol was better than AC. i didnt have neualsta withthe taxol. I didnt have allergic reactions either. I was premedicated with pepcis IV, benadryl, and decadrom. I did develop neuropathy and would suggest taking vitamin B6 of course ask your doc. I wish I had known about it and I would have taken it during taxol to help prevent it.0 -

I slept through all the Taxols. As soon as the IV Benadryl started I'd go nighty-night and wake up about 1/2 before the Taxol was finshed. So while I had a recliner for A/C I had a bed for Taxol.0 -

For me, it was much easier than my second chemo (fec). Since the taxol is weekly it is not as dose dense. I had to have them cut down on my steroids as I was too wired on the standard dose and went down to half dose. Very little problems except watery eyes and some blurred vision, needed a eye prescription change.
I slept through the taxols due to the benadryl they give you and that made them go by a lot faster!
Wishing you the best of luck and minimal side effects,

I will echo your "we're all different." Benadryl made me want to get out of the recliner and run up and down the halls (hard with a line in your port), so they had to give me a sedative the first time they tried it, then no more benadryl. They said it affects some people that way.0 -

I have had some nausea and I have had trouble with anemia. I take 4mg steriod the first two days after treatment and now the stomach stuff isn't as bad. I am not sure that I am so tired due to the anemia or the taxol. I wrote down my side effects so that I could see if they got better and they have. That might help to figure out how you are feeling.0
