Hi
Hi John! Sorry I haven't been here for a long while (wow has it really been that long?). I am doing really well and I hope you are too! My treatment is working and my last one is next month! Yippee! I needed to take a break from dealing with it all. It felt nice to just let it go and not have it in my mind every waking moment. Very hard to do, but possible. I checked in the other day and thought, I have to respond to some of these comments, we all need as much help as we can get. It's great to be back! This really is a great source of support and emotional dumping lol. Thanks for the shout out. :>)

Welcome back Cat! Glad to know you are doing great and almost done with treatment! I know about needing a break too, I am still recovering from my stem cell transplant this summer. I went today and my counts are great and I don't have to go back for a month! I think I am on my last month of being lazy and hopefully will be going back to work soon.
Can't believe I am ready to work LOL
Take care,

Cat,
I know what you mean about the break. You do need time to get yourself back to normal. I have been so busy lately and when I get the chance to get back on the site I can not believe all the new people that have joined our group. It is depressing in a way. This disease is running wild. I have been having problems lately of getting on. I click on to the site and my puter slows down to a crawl. I read everyday all the post and sometimes I do not know how to answer people. Just take it easy and enjoy your Grand daughter. Do you remember I asked you one time if she was your daughter. I do. BTW: I am in remission since October 2010. John(FNHL-1-4A-5/10)0 -

Hi Beth! I'm so happy you are bouncing back from your transplant! (I started to say stemplant lol! A new term?) Work can definitely be a welcome diversion and place of "normalcy" and if you're like me, a social gathering :>). I'm surprised at how much I miss being here and it's great to see that so many are doing well! Hope you enjoyed your lazy time as much as you could and congratulations on your success!

That's great news John! Almost a year of remission! Keep going!! Ha ha I do remember you asked if I was Mom, but my pic is a little old, my granddaughter is 3-1/2 now so I'm sure I look more like Grandma than Mom now! I'm always taking the pics so I don't have many with me in them. Don't worry too much about answering people, you're doing a great job just being there and responding when you can. Sometimes that's all people want is to know there's someone there to listen. Hope you are enjoying your summer and I think we have a deeper appreciation of what enjoying is! Take Care! Cat0 -

Hey everyone .
In response to John's statement regarding "crawling" - pretty sure it's on their
end or the the website. I sent them an email about a week ago.
I created this discussion under "Emotional Support" - couldn't find anything more
appropriate. I'm concerned some users are getting discouraged due to this.
It's not making me very happy at times .

Hi I am so excited to see you post . I have posted if anyone knew about you. I am so glad you are back. I always remember how you helped me when I was dx in Jan of 2009 and was cancer free in Jue 2009. I had my last PET in Sept of last year and will have one this Sept 21st. I feel good but as it gets closer I get nervous. Did you ever find out how Natalie (pretty young blond and daughter in picture) was after her transplant. I think that is what she had. How old is your granddaughter now? Are you workimng? I am back to work teaching. This is my third year back to teaching and I feel so blessed everyday that I can work, be around people and feel well. So happy to see you again!!! Joanie0 -

Hi Joanie! Hee Hee wow you made my day! I didn't realize what great friends I had here! Now I see I should have been on here earlier. I'm sorry to say I don't know what happened with Natalie, but I certainly do remember her. Heartbreaking situation, I pray that she is busy with her children and hasn't had a moment to herself! It is nice to hear that I was able to give some helpful words, thank you for saying so. I also found so many people here to help me when I was first diagnosed. It's like walking around in pitch black night, you feel so bewildered and lost and they put the light on the path and gave me the confidence to make decisions and ask questions and not to sit paralyzed. I have my PET coming up in Sept also, not sure exactly when yet, but I'll be thinking of you on the 21st! I have been able to work through all of the treatments. I only take the day that I have the treatment off. Blessing and a curse because it keeps my mind off stuff, but I can't concentrate on the things I should! Day at a time! Right? Talk to you soon!! Best of Luck to you!
