First day of chemo

in Esophageal Cancer #1
God Bless to all and to your recovery . Mother spent all day with her first round of chemo. Come to find out she is getting the same meds as she would have got at the Mayo Clinic. I think God is telling me to stop worrying and put my trust in him and the medical team. As far as Mother no side affects yet , and her chemo regimine is every 2 weeks for 2 monthes i think. Then maybe ratation , I will keep you posted.

    Thanks Mr. Marshall, I almost always put your posts in my favorites. Mom did get sick the second day . I can tell in her voice that things are slowly changing. I will be down to help full time next week . I wish I had been down to spend better time - but thats the way it is. So your saying there is no surgrey for iv. If these drugs work , I would hope that the next step would be a wise choice to a longer life. I wish Lorreta's mother the best. 97 wow I bet she could tell some stories. It is bueatiful to be around that generation! For know goodby and thankyou for everything again.

    Have your mother gargle with warm salt water 3 times a day during chemo. This will help avoid mouth and throat sores that are common side effects. Also, to head off nausea she should be taking zofran every 4 hours. Best of luck.
